But the main thing standing in my way is my own shyness. It’s funny, isn’t it? Wanting to be on stage but being afraid to open your mouth. Still, they say there’s a trick to get over it: you just need to imagine everyone in the audience naked

I would really like to try performing stand-up comedy someday. Just once. Just to feel the mic in my hand, the light in my eyes, and the sound of people laughing at something I came up with myself. I think I could actually do it — I have jokes inside me, little observations about life, about people, about all the silly things we do every day

I’m not sure if that would make me laugh more or blush harder, but maybe that’s exactly the point — to turn fear into something funny. So maybe one day, you’ll see me there, on a small stage in some little club, nervously gripping the microphone, trying not to giggle at the thought of a hundred naked strangers staring back at me.
